더이상 무슨 설명이 필요한가?
Black E.P 앨범이 전년도에 발매되었으나 대부분의 사람들은 그때까지도 Impellitteri라는 이름의 존재를 알지 못했다. Impellitteri라는 밴드를 이름을 전세계에 알린 수작이며, 세시대의 기타 히어로가 탄생했음을 알려주는 앨범이기도 하다.

Rainbow, Alcatrazz 출신의 Graham Bonnet의 보컬(크리스는 잉베이 이후 알카트래즈의 새로운 기타리스트가 되기위해 스티브 바이와 함께 그에게서 오디션을 본적이 있었다), Giuffria, Quiet Riot 출신의 Chuck Wright, Jeff Paris(키보디스트), Ted Nugent와 함께한 Pat Torpey 등이 앨범에 함께하며 탄탄한 사운드를 들려준다.

AC/DC의 Hells Bells를 연상시키는 종소리와 함께 앨범이 시작되며, 첫곡 Stand in Line 트랙 부터 Playing with Fire 까지 단 한곡도 놓칠 수 없는 명곡으로 가득차다. MTV 세대를 위해 첫곡 Stand in Line은 공식 뮤직비디오로 제작되었다.

앨범 발매 이후 임펠리테리 밴드는 일본에서 성공적인 투어를 가졌다.

■ 이 앨범의 알려진 혹은 알려지지않은 사실들
1. 앨범 발매 이후 드러머 Pat Torpey와 베이시스트 Chuck Wright가 각각 Stet Howland와 Dave Spitz로 교체되었다. 투어 이후에는 그래함 보넷이 밴드를 떠났고 보컬리스트 Mark Weitz로 교체되었다. 또한 키보디스트 Claude Schnell은 오리지널 키보디스트인 Phil Wolfe와 함께 번갈아가며 활동하였다.
2. 앨범 크레딧에 표기되었듯이 두번째 트랙 "Since You've Been Gone"에서의 베이스 연주는 Chuck Wright가 아닌 Autograph의 멤버, Randy Rand가 연주하였다.
3. 1988년 9월 3일, 빌보드 Top 200 앨범차트 91위에 랭크되었으며 챠트에 20주간 머물렀다. (당시 1위는 데프 레파드의 Hysteria 앨범이, 3위는 건앤로지스의 Appetite For Destruction 앨범, 조 새트리아니의 Surfing With The Alien 앨범은 83위에 랭크되었다)
