임펠리테리, 2017년말 새앨범 발매를 목표로 작업 중

IMPELLITTERI WORKING ON NEW RECORD FOR 2017 RELEASE

임펠리테리는 2015년 3월 4일 통상 10번째(BLACK E.P, Victim Of The System, 베스트 앨범 제외) 공식 스튜디오 앨범인 [VENOM]을 발매하였고, 같은 해인 2015년 5월에는 일본 투어를 진행하였습니다. 그리고 2016년 7월과 8월에는 스페인 바르셀로나 락 페스티벌, 독일 BANG YOUR HEAD!!! 페스티벌, 부산 국제락페스티벌에서 공연을 하였습니다.

이후 크리스 임펠리테리는 그의 페이스북에서 임펠리테리 데뷔 30주년이 되는 올해 2017년도에 '결단코' 투어를 진행하겠다(2017/04/16 - [1. News] - 2017년은 IMPELLITTERI 데뷔 30주년!)고 하였지만 아직까지 들려오는 소식은 없습니다. 한편 기타 포털 사이트인 'All That Shreds'에서 2017년말을 목표로 임펠리테리 밴드가 새앨범을 작업 중에 있다고 전해왔습니다. 'All That Shreds'의 편집장인 Andrew Catania가 3월 6일자로 전해온 새앨범 작업 관련 소식은 아래와 같습니다.

전설적인 기타리스트 크리스 임펠리테리는 2015년 'Venom' 앨범에 이어서 스튜디오에서 작곡과 레코딩을 진행하고 있습니다. 크리스는 'All That Shreds'에 다음과 같이 전했습니다.

"현재 저는 스튜디오에서 새로운 음악을 쓰고 녹음하고 있습니다. 새로운 음악은 VENOM 앨범의 정점에 있기때문에 우리 팬들은 매우 좋아할 것입니다!! IMPELLITTERI는 우리의 정체성을 잃지 않고 예술적으로 발전하기를 원합니다. 그래서 새로운 앨범은 확실하게 Shredding 기타 솔로, Screaming 보컬, 그리고 강력함와 파워가 풍부하면서도 에너지 넘치는 리듬 섹션으로 채워진 많은 빠른 템포의 메틀 곡을 믹스하여 수록하게 될 것입니다."

Impellitteri는 2017년 말 발매를 고려하고 있습니다. 올해는 또한 Impellitteri의 데뷔 앨범인 Black 앨범의 30주년을 기념하는 해이기도 합니다.

Legendary guitarist Chris Impellitteri is in the studio writing and recording for a follow up to 2015’s ‘Venom‘ record. Chris told All That Shreds,

”I am in the studio writing and recording new music at this time……The new music is very much in the vein of VENOM, so I think our fans will like it very much!! IMPELLITTERI want to evolve artistically without losing our identity….so the new record will definitely have a lot of fast tempo metal songs filled with shredding guitar solos, screaming Vocals, and an energetic rhythm section with lots of punch and power in our mix.”

Impellitteri is looking at a later 2017 release date. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Impellitteri’s debut record, the black album.
