개인적인 사정으로 인하여 작년 9월에 있었던 두 보컬리스트인 롭 락(Rob Rock)과 리써 레온(Leather Leone)의 남미 공연을 뒤늦게 리뷰합니다. 임펠리테리 팬사이트이기에 롭 락의 공연만을 중점적으로 리뷰합니다.

Impellitteri의 Voice이자 Solo 보컬리스트 Rob Rock, 그리고 Chastain의 Voice이자 Solo 보컬리스트(그녀 역시 단 한장의 솔로 앨범을 발매한바 있습니다 : Shock Waves, 1989 on Roadrunner/Leviathan Records)인 Leather Leone의 합동 남미 투어가 작년 9월에 있었습니다. Rob Rock과 Leather Leone은 브라질 리우데자네이루, 페루 리마, 콜롬비아 보고타 그리고 아르헨티나 부에노스아이레스 까지 4개국에 걸쳐 국가별 하루씩 투어가 진행되었으며, 추가적으로 Leather Leone은 브라질 상파울로에서 Tim Ripper Ownes와 함께 한번 더 공연을 하였습니다.

< TOUR LINE-UP / MUSICIANS >

Rob과 Leather, 두 보컬리스트 모두 위 사진에 있는 연주자들과 함께 투어 라인업을 꾸렸습니다. 즉 Vinnie Tex, Daemon Ross, Thiago Velásquez, Braulio Drumond가 롭의 공연에서 연주해주었으며, 동일한 라인업으로 Leather Leone 공연에서도 함께 하였습니다. 연주한 멤버들 모두 롭의 인맥이 아닌 Leather Leone과 함께했던 인물들입니다.

리드 기타리스트는 Vinnie Tex는 1984년생의 브라질 리우데자네이루 출신으로 Pat Matheny, Vinnie Moore, Baden Powell, Rafael Rabello, Michael Lee Firkins, Django Reinhardt, Frank Gambale 등에서 영향을 받았습니다.

리듬 기타리스트 Daemon Ross은 1980년생으로 브라질 리우데자네이루 출신입니다. 2009년에 Black Sabbath의 Tony Martin과의 투어, Doogie White 투어에도 함께한 바 있습니다.

베이시스트 Thiago Velásquez 역시 브라질 리우데자네이루 출신이며 밴드에서 가장 젊은 1990년생입니다. 그의 나이 17살인 2007년에 첫 프로패셔널 밴드 "Statik Majik"로서 뮤지션 생활을 본격적으로 시작하였습니다. 밴드 "Statik Majik"는 Lacuna Coil, Soulfly 그리고 Zakk Wylde가 이끄는 밴드 Black Label Society 등의 오프닝 공연을 한바 있으며, Thiago Velásquez는 Iron Maiden의 보컬리스트 폴 디애노(Paul Di 'Anno)의 투어 멤버로써 함께하기도 하였습니다.

"Braulio Azambuja" 라는 이름으로 뮤지션 활동을 시작한 드러머 Braulio Drumond 또한 브라질 리우데자네이루 출신이며 1984년생입니다. Vulgar, Diva, Syren, Avec Tristesse, Incognosci, Unearthly 등 여러 밴드를 거치며 탄탄한 내공을 쌓아온 인물입니다.

투어 전 리허설은 브라질 리우데자네이루에 있는 "HR Estudio"에서 진행되었습니다.

노래를 부르고 있는 분은 Rodrigo Scelza이며 Leather Leone의 남미 투어 매니저입니다.

롭의 남미 공연은 기본 12곡으로 이루어졌으며, 앵콜 진행시 추가적으로 2곡이 진행되는 셋리스트입니다.

총 14곡 중 롭의 솔로 앨범에서 8곡, Impellitteri 앨범에서 5곡 그리고 그가 프로페셔널 보컬리스트로써 이름을 새겨놓기 시작한 M.A.R.S. 앨범에서 1곡이 선곡되었습니다. 아래는 기본 셋리스트이기 때문에 실제 공연에서는 일부 곡이 빠지거나 순서가 뒤바뀌기도 하였습니다. 콜롬비아 보고타 공연에서는 Savior's Call 및 We Own the Night이 플레이되지 않았으며, 부에노스아이레스 공연에서는 Savior's Call이 2차 앵콜(마지막곡)로 선곡되었습니다.

9월 23일 아르헨티나 부에노스아이레스 공연 이후 최종적으로 25일에 브라질 상파울로에서도 공연이 예정되어 있었으나 Rob Rock은 진행하지 않았고, Leather Leone 만이 투어를 계속하였습니다. 한편 Leather Leone은 1991년 마지막 투어 이후 음악 씬의 변화로 인해 더이상 투어를 하지 않았으나 남미 투어를 진행한 이후 똑같은 멤버로 2017년 4월과 5월에 유럽 공연을 준비하고 있습니다.
